RYAN REYNOLDS has praised Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop after he punctured Paul Mullin's lung.
The young keeper received a personal phone call from the Wrexham owner in the wake of the heated friendly in San Diego on Tuesday.
A collision between Bishop and Mullin left the latter in hospital with a punctured lung.
Bishop, who was booked for the incident, received boos from the crowd for the rest of the half before being substituted at half-time.
He later issued an apology for causing the injury, although Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson reacted angrily after the match.
Parkinson called Bishop "clumsy" and "reckless" in his post-match interview, much to the dismay of United staff.
