Man Utd target Vitinha set for 'imminent' Premier League transfer with Porto star's £34m release clause to be triggered | The Sun

PORTO midfielder Vitinha is reportedly set for an 'imminent' transfer to the Premier League amid interest from Manchester United.

The 22-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2021-22 season where he helped his side win the Primeira Liga while also becoming a regular member in the Portugal national squad.

In total, Vitinha featured in 47 games in all competitions – chipping in with four goals and five assists.

It was his first season back at the Estadio do Dragao after spending the previous campaign on loan at Wolves where he scored once in 22 games.

But he failed to convince the Midlands outfit to turn his temporary stay into a permanent switch.

However he is claimed to be heading back to England, with the Red Devils known to have sent scouts to watch him in action in March.

They have said that his agent Jorge Mendes has met with a host of clubs – including United and Barcelona last week.

Along with United, Leicester have also been credited with an interest in the player in the past.

Meanwhile Spanish clubs Atletico Madrid, Real Valladolid and Tenerife have kept tabs on Vitinha.

Belgium champions Club Brugge are keen but unlikely to have the funds, with German outfit Freiburg to also struggle to afford him.
