EXCLUSIVE: PFA backs Rashford and slams hectic fixture schedule
Rashford spoke of his worries ahead of England’s latest Euro 2024 qualifiers.
He said: “It is mad that, at club level, we are playing three games a week from November until we get knocked out of Europe.
“It is difficult but I am not the one who has to have the answers.
“In the early stages of my career I couldn’t make sense of it. Some managers have spoken out against it.
“If one team plays 60 games a season and another 38, there has to be some time to recover for the team playing 20 more.”

EXCLUSIVE: PFA backs Rashford and slams hectic fixture schedule
Players’ welfare is under serious threat from football’s “mad” calendar, union bosses fear.
Prem clubs will play at least 64 summer friendlies in 15 countries over 26 days BEFORE the new season starts.
SunSport today reveals they will travel a staggering total of 170,758 miles — almost seven times round the planet.
Manchester United’s England striker Marcus Rashford insists the number of games in a season is already too high.
And PFA chief executive Maheta Molango warned: “A properly co-ordinated approach to the football calendar is needed to address the growing pressure being placed on players. They themselves are saying their wellbeing has to be prioritised.”
West Ham and England midfielder Declan Rice played 61 times for club and country last season.

Mason Mount latest
Man Utd's transfer for Mason Mount is at risk of being HIJACKED, according to reports.
The Red Devils have been chasing Mount throughout the summer as he enters the final year of his Chelsea contract.

But Chelsea want £65m for their academy graduate.
And now United could spectacularly miss out on Mount – because Bayern Munich are reportedly stepping up their interest.

Red Devils could lose out on target
If Chelsea continue to play hardball over the transfer of Mason Mount, United's number one target this summer, it may lead to them missing out on the player all together.
With only a £15m difference between what Erik ten Hag has offered and what Chelsea want, it seems in the current transfer climate, as small price to pay to get the deal over the line.
If Man Utd miss out and have to go for lesser options, this could be the straw that breaks the camel's back when it comes to judging the success of this transfer window.

Romano offers de Gea insight
The reputable journalist who is the font of knowledge for all transfer business has lifted the lid on the situation with David de Gea:
The feeling on the player's side is that Manchester United are still waiting because they want to explore the market and understand if they can find a good opportunity. This is why, at the moment, there is still no green light for David de Gea to go to Carrington and sign the contract. They are waiting for that stage.

Ex-Inter keeper lifts lid on exit talk
Sebastien Frey, once a player at the San Siro, has given his thoughts on the potential of Andre Onana leaving for Man Utd.
The player feels that Inter Milan should do all they can to keep the stopper but does not feel this is likely to happen.
He said "Football today is different than it was in my generation.
"Moratti’s Inter could afford to keep a player regardless of the size of an offer that they received. Now, there are other needs to think about.
"But if it just depended on me, I would keep him. It’s difficult to find a great goalkeeper. If they want to win trophies, then they should keep him. Unfortunately, I think they’ll let him leave."
