Greenwood lifeline
Mason Greenwood has been offered a football lifeline — by his former boss Jose Mourinho at Roma.
Mourinho reached out to the troubled Manchester United star over joining the Serie A club on loan.
Greenwood is still suspended as United chiefs investigate his conduct following his January 2022 arrest to "determine the next steps".
Greenwood, 21, was charged with attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour and assault.
But police confirmed in February that Greenwood "no longer faces criminal proceedings" as the Crown Prosecution Service had dropped all charges.

Watford CEO Scott Duxbury said on Tom Cleverley's retirement: "No one could have worked harder than Tom did to make it back from several injuries, which he’s tried to do while always providing a positive force around the players.

BREAKING: Cleverley retires
Former Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley has announced his retirement from football at the age of 33.
It was confirmed by his current club Watford on Saturday that he was hanging up his boots as a result of an injury.
Cleverley made 32 appearances during Man Utd's 2012/13 Premier League title-winning campaign.
After coming through the Red Devils' youth set-up, he racked up 79 games for the first team.
He also managed 13 caps for England across 2012 and 2013.
Cleverly departed Old Trafford permanently in 2015 following a loan spell with Aston Villa.
He left Man Utd for Everton where he spent 18 months, before Watford took him on loan and eventually signed him.

Ex-Utd wonderkid could join Wrexham
Wrexham are chasing former Manchester United ace Nick Powell.
The 29-year-old made headlines when Sir Alex Ferguson signed the midfielder from Crewe Alexandra for £6million 11 years ago.
Powell played just a handful of times before heading out on loan and eventually joining Stoke.
