    Cristiano Ronaldo blow

Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo's hopes of winning trophies have been dealt a blow after Al-Nassr were banned from registering players.

FIFA have sanctioned the Saudi Arabian giants over a failed payment dating back to a 2018 transfer.

The Saudi Pro League outfit signed Ahmed Musa from Leicester in a deal worth £15.4million plus £1.7m in performance-related bonuses.

Musa triggered £390,000 worth of add-ons between 2018-2020 but Al-Nassr have failed to pay them up.

The case was even taken to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which ruled in the Foxes' favour.

FIFA's ruling prevents Al-Nassr from registering new players and that means any new signings will not be able to play for Ronaldo's club.
