MANCHESTER UNITED'S hopes of signing Cody Gakpo have been dented as PSV boss Ruud van Nistelrooy insists there is a lot of interest in him.
The 23-year-old Dutch international was the subject of interest from the Red Devils in the summer transfer window.
The Old Trafford club considered a move for Gakpo as a deal for Ajax's Antony was proving difficult to sort, although they did get it over the line in the end.
Despite staying at PSV, Gakpo has continued to excel and has netted 14 goals in 20 games this season for club and country.
Should United want to go back in for the attacker, it will prove to be harder as confirmed by his boss and former Red Devils striker Van Nistelrooy.
He said: "I think there is not only Premier League clubs after him.
