Marco Reus snubs Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski as he reveals best ever Dortmund team-mate | The Sun

BORUSSIA DORTMUND star Marco Reus revealed his best ever team-mate, and it's not a superstar like Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland or Robert Lewandowski…

Reus has spent 10 years at Dortmund and played with some of the biggest names in the world who left for bigger clubs following a few successful seasons.

Sancho went to Manchester United, Haaland joined Manchester City and Lewandowski signed with Bayern Munich before leaving for Barcelona this summer.

But when it comes to his favourite ever team-mate, the winger insists no one beats Mario Gotze.

The two Germans spent a total of five years together at the Signal Iduna Park and Reus has very fond memories of Gotze's two stints at the club.

The Eintracht Frankfurt forward left Dortmund in 2013 for Bayern and returned in 2016 until he moved to PSV Eindhoven four years later.

Reus told OMR: "When I came to Dortmund back then, Mario Gotze was the exceptional talent.

"It was incredible back then. It was amazing and everyone I spoke to raved about him.”

But Reus doesn't forget the contribution some other former superstars made at Dortmund.

The Germany international insists the likes of Sancho, Haaland, Barcelona ace Ousmane Dembele and City star Ilkay Gundogan served the club well.

Reuss added: "We had an incredible number of good players at Dortmund.

"Jadon Sancho was and is also an incredibly good player because, combined with his dribbling, he has great timing with his passes.

"Ousmane Dembele, we always called him the 'man without a hip' because he can turn so quickly.
