Nottingham Forest close in on double transfer for Liverpool’s Neco Williams and Wolves star Morgan Gibbs-White | The Sun

NOTTINGHAM FOREST are closing in on Liverpool’s Neco Williams and Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolves.

The £35million double swoop comes after they nabbed Union Berlin’s Taiwo Awoniyi in a club-record £17.2m move.

Right-back Williams favours Forest over a return to Fulham, where he spent four months on loan last season.

The Wales star, 21, is valued at £15m and Forest boss Steve Cooper wants him after on-loan Middlesbrough star Djed Spence started talking to other clubs.

The Premier League new-boys are also being encouraged to go for Gibbs-White, 22, who is due to give Wolves an answer on his future soon.

Forest could pay about £20m for the midfielder and Wanderers may reluctantly accept.

Wolves are plotting a SECOND raid on Burnley for Wales’ World Cup-bound right-back Connor Roberts, 26.

They need a squad replacement for Dutchman Ki-Jana Hoever, 20, after his loan move to PSV Eindhoven.

Roberts joined Burnley last summer and wants to stay in the Prem after their relegation.

Wolves are already trying to agree a deal for Clarets’ 21-year-old centre-half Nathan Collins.

Burnley are ready to snap up Burton right-back Tom Hamer, 22, in a bargain deal if Roberts goes.

Hamer is out of contract and the Turf Moor club could agree a fee of around £400,000 to avoid a tribunal and the long wait for a result.

Burnley want two new right-backs and are also keen on Jordan Gabriel at Blackpool.

And the Seasiders could even be in the market for Hamer if they sell former Forest defender Gabriel, 23.
