Nottingham Forest closing in on Bayern left-back Omar Richards with medical to be completed TODAY ahead of £7m move | The Sun

NOTTINGHAM FOREST are set to sign Bayern Munich left-back Omar Richards for a £7million fee.

The former Reading star has struggled for game time at Bayern-Munich but is looking to revive his career at newly promoted Forest.

The 24 year-old travelled abroad on Thursday night to prepare for his medical.

The Bayern Munich left-back is scheduled to have a medical today before completing his move.

If everything goes to plan Richards will sign a four year deal with Forest.

Richards has struggled for game time since joining the Bundesliga champions last May on a free.

The left-back made just 17 appearances in all competitions as his team marched to a tenth successive title.

Before joining them Richards was a key player for Reading, coming through the youth system before making 104 appearances for the first team.

Steve Cooper will be hoping Richards will flourish in the five at the back system which Cooper adopted in the majority of games last season.

Forest look set to sign another wing-back alongside Richards as they close in on a £17m move for Neco Williams.
