BILLY SHARP has been offered a career lifeline by four clubs after his shock release by Sheffield United.
Coventry boss Mark Robins hopes to snap up the veteran striker.
Robins is fighting with Rotherham, Hull and Derby for the 37-year-old.
Sharp was released by his beloved Sheffield United after their return to the Premier League.
He had been with the club for the past eight seasons, scoring 116 goals.
