Ten top-flight bosses were dismissed in the 2021-22 season, and Bournemouth's Scott Parker became the first this year after a 9-0 defeat by Liverpool.

Leicester's Rodgers was odds-on but has shortened to 6/5 over the last 48 hours.

The Foxes have taken one point from a possible 12 in their opening four matches, and sit bottom of the division.

It's been a turbulent summer for Leicester, who lost French centre-back Wesley Fofana to Chelsea in a deal worth £70million.

However, Rodgers will only get a third of the transfer fee and has already missed out on a number of targets including Levi Colwill, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ademola Lookman.

The club's one and only outfield signing looks to have been Wout Faes from Ligue 1 club Reims.

Elsewhere Steven Gerrard is offered at 5/4 after Aston Villa lost four of their first five fixtures.

The Midlands club now host champions Manchester City, who have scored 10 goals in their last two games.

Asked if he had concerns over his future as Villa manager, Gerrard told BT Sport: "Of course I do.

"I'm really honest and self-critical of myself. I’ll do my job the best I can. I’ll step forward, I’ll take the responsibility.

"If I stood here and said to you that I wasn’t concerned, I think you would look at me as if I was on a different planet."

Wolves boss Bruno Lage and Everton's Frank Lampard are next at 13/2, marginally ahead of Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel at 7/1.
