Zinedine Zidane, Jose Mourinho and Christophe Galtier are among the favourites to replace Pochettino.

PSG have also axed former sporting director Leonardo.

Campos, 57, previously worked at Monaco – where he struck a good working relationship with PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe.

More recently the Portuguese worked at Lille, helping them win the Ligue 1 title under manager Galtier.

Campos has also worked with Mourinho, having been employed as a scout by Real Madrid in 2012.
