PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have joined Barcelona in the race to sign Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva, according to reports.
Barcelona have been pushing to sign the Portuguese playmaker, 28, since last summer, but the club's financial situation has always prevented a deal from being completed.
The cash-strapped Catalan giants are now attempting to fund a bid by offloading a number of first team players including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sergino Dest, Memphis Depay and Frenkie de Jong.
But, while club chiefs are desperately attempting to gather enough money for a suitable offer, PSG are preparing to swoop in and make a bid of their own.
According to The Times, the Ligue 1 champions are working on a deal to sign Silva from Man City.
PSG are understood to be willing to pay £59million for the midfielder, who has already hinted at a move away.

The Parisians are confident that City will accept the offer and also believe that there will be no issues surrounding personal terms.
Silva has been a first team regular in Pep Guardiola's squad since joining Man City five years ago.
In 252 appearances for the club he's scored 48 goals and assisted 50.
During that time he's also helped City to four Premier League titles.

However, last week he hinted that he could be on his way out of Manchester before the transfer window closes next month.
In a cryptic tweet following City's 4-0 win over Bournemouth, he wrote: "A great performance from the team and a fantastic atmosphere!
"I would also like to thank everyone at the stadium for those beautiful moments of love and support you guys showed me."
