RAHEEM STERLING's brace separated the two sides at Stamford Bridge as ten-men Chelsea came away with the points.
Conor Gallagher gave the Blues a lot to do when he hauled down Harvey Barnes for his second yellow after only 28 minutes.
Sterling picked out the top corner with a wonderful lob over Danny Ward from a static position on the edge of the box.
Reece James played a delightful low cross into Sterling's path for the forward's second goal.
Harvey Barnes pulled one back for the visitors on the hour-mark after a one-two with Jamie Vardy,
Here is how SunSport's Alex Cole rated the Chelsea performance at Stamford Bridge.

Edouard Mendy – 6/10
Was lucky to see a Leicester goal ruled out for a very soft foul on him. A fantastic save on the stroke of half-time from a point-blank Castagne chance.
Beaten at his near post for Leicester's goal but then made up for it with a one-on-one stop from Vardy.
Marc Cucurella – 7
Hobbled off at half time after being on the receiving end of a crunching tackle before the break. Stayed on and battled well in the second period.
He'll be pleased to get that performance under his belt.
Trevoh Chalobah – 7
Celebrated a hard early tackle as if he'd scored. Looked fairly comfortable until the Foxes pressure came following the sending off.
Was out-muscled by Vardy with minutes to spare but the striker couldn't beat Mendy.

Thiago Silva – 8
Such a rock at the back for the Blues. Some vital challenges to break up Leicester counter-attacks.
Reece James – 8
Hit the post just before half-time with a blistering volley. Some tidy cross-field balls as usual from the right-back.
Assisted Sterling on a plate for the second goal.
Jorginho – 7
Was let down by running-mate Gallagher's red card . Subbed off for Kovacic after a tireless display.
Conor Gallagher – 2
It was a lively start for the youngster, who flew into a couple of tackles like he was trying to prove a point. Unfortunately, that got him booked after 20 minutes and had to run a tightrope after that.
Sure enough, the 22-year-old was then sent off for bringing down Barnes before the 30-minute mark.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 8
Saw a huge chance five minutes in saved by Ward. Was the catalyst for a good early start. Won a penalty but it was overturned by VAR due to an offside.
Mason Mount – 6
Not his best game and hauled off at half time for Azpilicueta so that they could play five at the back after the sending off.
Kai Havertz – 7
Worked hard but nothing much came off for him. Was left alone up top at points in the second half.
Raheem Sterling – 8
A fabulous curling lobbed goal from the edge of the box over a helpless Danny Ward.
Hit the post five minutes later in what could have ended things.
But did then get his double when he slotted home from close range for his brace.
