Fitzpatrick became just the third Englishman to win a golfing major this century with his US Open win in Brookline, Massachusetts last month.
The 27-year-old from Sheffield is now under pressure to keep his rich vein of form going this year and keep climbing up the rankings list.
He currently sits at a career best 10th place but will need to improve his best ever Open finish of T20 from three years ago to up his ranking.
That Open Championship from 2019 was won by Lowry, who is also in mix with the bookies to have a good weekend this time around.
The Irishman finished third at the Masters this year and is looking to build on his strong year that has seen him climb up to 22nd in the rankings.
