Lionel Messi’s arrival to MLS has unsurprisingly taken the USA by storm, and now the demand to see the Argentine superstar is outpacing even some NFL games.
Messi’s Inter Miami will visit the Philadelphia Union in the semifinals of the Leagues Cup on Tuesday night, and according to TickPick, the average ticket price is a massive $609 for the game.
That’s 78 percent more expensive than the average price paid on the site for the Eagles’ home opener vs. the Vikings on September 14 – $342.
In fact, the cheapest tickets for Miami’s game on Tuesday are still as much as $483, which is more 1107 percent more expensive than the ‘get-in’ price ($40) for the Union’s next game.
The Miami-Philly semifinal is the most expensive Union home game on record, according to TickPick.

And the demand for the game is far outpacing that of the Eagles’ home opener in September
And Union coach Jim Curtin previously begged his team’s fans not to give up their tickets.
‘Please don’t sell your tickets, no matter how much money they’re offering for them, please,’ Curtin said following the team’s 2-1 victory over Liga MX team Querataro last round.
‘We know that we’re going to have a packed Subaru Park. It’s going to be the number one ticket in the city, for sure. I’m sure some celebrities will be out here in Philly, so I’m excited for it.’
It will certainly be tempting for Philly fans to ignore Curtin’s pleas.

According to TickPick, the biggest purchase thus far for the game has been two seats in section 128 selling for $1,062 each – $2,124 total.
Nonetheless, Curtin expects a great atmosphere on Tuesday.
‘We’re talking about the best player of all time coming here in the semifinal with a trophy on the line, a spot in the [CONCACAF] Champions League on the line,’ he said.
‘So it’s a big game. I know our fans are gonna show up.’
Inter Miami have not lost since Messi’s debut last month vs. Cruz Azul, and the No. 10 has scored an outrageous eight goals in five matches thus far.
