Tiger Woods' car collection is all-American with Buicks and Cadillacs, but there is room for stunning Lamborghini | The Sun

AS a true American, Tiger Woods has had a garage filled with US made cars.

Through the years, the golf legend has been seen behind the wheel of Cadillacs and Buicks.

But that doesn't mean that Woods, 46, hasn't been spied driving anything faster.

The five-time Masters champion also has a £240,000 Lamborghini Murcielago, as well as a S Class Mercedes Benz.

Here's his amazing car collection.

CADILLAC ESCALADE

Perhaps the most well-known of his cars, Tiger famously drove his Escalade into a fire hydrant outside his former home in Windermere, Florida back in 2009.

Just two days earlier it has been alleged the golfing superstar was having an affair with New York nightclub hostess, Rachel Uchitel.

The SUV appeared to be a write off, and it's unknown if Tiger ever drove it again.

The Escalade from General Motors was launched in 1999 as competition for the Mercedes-Benz ML-Class and Lexus LX.

And the luxury vehicle is normally used as a limo for celebrities in Hollywood attending glitzy events.

It carries a price tag of around £75,000.

LAMBORGHINI MURCIELAGO

This Lambo goes against most of the cars Woods swears by. Usually, he's a man of comfort that likes a roomy 4×4.

However, the opportunity to own a Murcielago was too good for the golf legend to turn down.

Capable of reaching 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, it boasts a powerful V12 engine.

And new, it came with a price tag that could be as much as £241,000. Nothing for a man of Tiger's wealth, mind.

BUICK BENGAL

When Buick designed the Bengal back in 2001, they reportedly did it with Tiger in mind.

A concept car that never ever made is way to the road, the company reportedly gifted Tiger one.

They also made him front and centre of all ads – showing off the impressive motor.

That said, under the bonnet was a rather underwhelming 3.4 liter V6 engine.

2021 Genesis GV80 SUV

Woods was behind the wheel of this crossover hybrid when he was involved in a horrific accident in February 2021.

Woods broke both his legs after rolling his car in a serious single-vehicle accident in California.

He was forced to undergo surgery to fix two fractures in his right leg and a shattered ankle after his car flipped and rolled off the road.

The golf-great reportedly hit a raised central reservation at 'speed', smashing through a street sign and hitting a tree before flipping his vehicle several times.

PORSCHE CARRERA GT

Back to what's road legal and fast, Woods invested in a rare Carrera GT that's a collector's item.

Today at auction, they fetch around £500,000-£1million.

Able to reach 100 mph in a rapid 6.8 seconds, this supercar can reach a top speed of 205 mph.

Famously, Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker lost his life in a car accident in a Carrera GT.

BUICK VELITE

In the early 2000s, Tiger was spotted with a Velite – another concept vehicle.

Again, it didn't see light of day, but accompanied Woods at various events, where he showed it off.

Not much is known about the specifications of the original Velite.

However, last year Buickintroduced the Velite model to China, with various modifications including making it totally electric.

MERCEDES-BENZ S65

In 2017, Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Jupiter Island, Florida.

He was behind the wheel of S65, said to be worth around £135,000, when cops pulled him over.

The car was impounded, so no one's sure exactly if Tiger kept it.

And it reportedly suffered some damage before Woods was arrested, with his front and rear tires torn, as well as alloy wheels bent.

BUICK ENCLAVE

Thanks to a longterm sponsorship deal with Buick, that's no longer in effect today, Tiger had his pick from their models.

A mid-size SUV, the Enclave has a starting price of around £40,000, was just the ticket for cruising around Florida.

In 2008, when GM had to make substantial cuts, Woods' sponsorship deal wasn't renewed.

It was the end of a nine-year relationship.

TAILOR-MADE GOLF CART

It's not all fast cars, you know.

When Woods is on the golf course, he likes to zoom about in his custom-made E-Z-GO golf cart.

According to Hank Haney, one of Woods' coaches, the golf cart boasts spinner wheels and a stereo to play music.

It is also capable of reaching 28 mph, more than many conventional carts around today.

BUICK LACROSSE

The steady Lacrosse can cost as much as £40,000 with all the bells and whistles, which we imagine is what Tiger had.

And it appeared that Tiger came out of Buick retirement, when he advertised the car four years after he was dropped by the brand.

Good on fuel mileage, the Lacrosse was discontinued as the brand wants to focus on SUVs.

The small boot wouldn't have suited Tiger in getting his clubs in.

LEXUS LS460

Reliable is a word that springs to mind when you think of Woods' choice of cars.

And you don't get more safe than a Lexus LS460.

Priced at around £75,000, it's one of the more pricey sedans on the market.

Comfortability is the key, with the LS460 offering Tiger plenty of room to stretch his 6 ft frame.

It's a worthy car to add to Tiger's garage.
