A Spurs supporter who was savagely beaten up by thugs after Sheffield United’s FA Cup victory over Tottenham was given the VIP treatment by his club over the Easter Weekend.
Roy Pankhurst, 70, was attacked alongside his son after the Championship side knocked Spurs out the famous cup competition at the start of March.
Tottenham decided that they wanted to try and lift Pankhurst’s spirits after the horrific incident and invited him as a guest to their weekend Premier League clash with Brighton.
The 70-year-old enjoyed a stellar afternoon at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium as he watched goals from Heung Min-Son and Harry Kane secure three points and keep the club in the top four race.
Mr Pankhurst was pictured being given the VIP treatment by the club as he dined in Tottenham’s luxury on-site restaurant and was treated to a champagne lunch with his son.

He posed for pictures with club legends and was greeted at lunch by former player David Howells before kick-off.
The pair were then given an all-access stadium tour around the magnificent 62,000 seater venue and spent time sitting in the dugout before the match got underway.
The OAP then watched the action unfold from comfortable luxury seating in the ground just metres away from interim boss Cristian Stellini who was forced to sit in the stands after being red carded.
The 70-year-old was even allowed into the dugout before kick-off at the Spurs stadium
The celebrating pair were also allowed into the tunnel and watched Heung-Min Son (middle) conduct an interview
Their luxury complimentary seats saw them positioned next to Spurs interim coach Cristian Stellini (middle right) who was sent off in the clash
They were then allowed to access the tunnel after the match and watched goalscorer Son conduct his relevant media interviews after the improtant win.
Speaking to reporters about his experience, Pankhurst praised the club and said: ‘It’s been a very special day for me. Thank you Spurs.
Following their initial attack, Roy and his son Craig Pankurst were left bloodied and bruised and the elder was left with blood pouring from his nose and a nasty cut on his head.
He had to use his white and blue club scarf to mop up the blood as they waited for an ambulance.
