Marseille are holding out for a figure of €15m to secure the player's services.

Chelsea to resume transfer talks
Sources in Italy claim Inter Milan will resume talks with Chelsea on Tuesday about the transfer of Cesare Casadei.
The Blues had an initial bid of €8m turned down and they are not the only interested party as Nice battle them for the player's signature.
The Nerazzurri are looking to sell the 19-year-old and include a buyback option as part of the deal.
It seems the magic number they are looking for is €15m.

Ferdinand slates transfer policy
Ex-Man Utd defender Rio Ferdinand has let loose with his thoughts on his old club and how they are approaching their summer signings.
It is rare to see a player who spent so long at the club and enjoyed so much success to be so scathing towards their former employer:
With all due respect, he’s a great player, but we’re almost whoring ourselves out for this player for three months of the transfer window with our cap in hand begging, 'Please come to us'.

Milan clubs say no
Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered to both AC Milan and Inter Milan.
Both clubs have turned down the opportunity to sign the striker.
Reports coming from Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri suggest that United are trying to find a suitor for the striker.
It could be down to Jorge Mendes to try and convince one of these clubs to take a chance on the forward.

Chelsea double on the cards
This could be the week where the pieces start to fall into place for Thomas Tuchel and his transfer activity.
Both Wesley Fofana and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are key targets for the London club and it is suggested they will complete these transfers this week.
It could be an expensive week for the club's new owners as the pair will cost them in excess of £100m.
With Leicester playing hardball over the fee for Fofana, Aubameyang's capture could be far easier.
The Catalan club are in need to free up some finances in order to register players under La Liga rules.

Toon look to Chelsea starlet
With the World Cup in Qatar in the calendar for this season, clubs can utilise the hunger of players wanting to be picked for the showpiece tournament to their advantage.
Take Connor Gallagher for example, doing that well on loan at Palace that Chelsea felt the need to keep him at the club and draw him into the first team squad.
However, it is clear to see that young midfielder is some way off being first choice at Stamford Bridge.
Newcastle seem keen to try and prize the player away before the transfer window closes.
The pull of first team football and being able to establish himself in Gareth Southgate's plans for the winter could be key.

Target bids farewell to fans
After their 4-2 defeat against Arsenal yesterday, many saw the actions of Wesley Fofana as a player bidding farewell to the travelling fans.
His manager, Brendan Rodgers, did not agree when quizzed on the matter.
Rodgers stated that all he saw was a player applauding the travelling fans for making the trip from Leicester to London.
It can prove unsettling for the manager and the rest of his squad as one of his first team players are linked to a move away.
Should Chelsea meet their valuation of the player, Rodgers will want any business done quickly so he can reconfigure his squad for the season ahead.

Spurs eyeing Brazilian star
Antonio Conte is rumoured to be interested in bringing Lucas Paqueta to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
Arsenal and Newcastle are also believed to be interested in the player also.
Lyon could face a battle to keep the midfielder with interest building.
Paqueta joined Lyon from AC Milan in 2020, the 24-year-old has gone on to cement his place in the French squad since then.
Reports suggest he could be prized away from Lyon for as little as £33m.

Morata speculation gathering pace
Man Utd are considering bolstering their attacking options by bringing Alvaro Morata back to the Premier League.
Atletico Madrid are keen to offload the striker before the window closes.
Anthony Martial missed yesterday's game due to injury, ten Hag only has Rashford and Ronaldo as options.
With the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Joao Felix and Angel Correa available up front, Simeone doesn’t really need Morata in his squad.
A fee of £29.6m is alleged to be required to convince the La Liga outfit to part with the striker.

Kirchener must pay for Rams
Paul Stretford's Triple S group have been given the go-ahead to get their money back from failed Derby County bidder Chris Kirchner.
A court in Fort Worth, Texas has granted the company a judgment to recover the cash from Kirchner out of his private assets.
The local sheriff's office will meet Kirchner to assess his financial position before deciding how he settles the debt.
If he cannot pay he could be made bankrupt. Under Texas law, he has to obey or face possible jail time.
Triple S gave Kirchner's company £1.68million to pay the wages at Derby in May when the American's deposit for the club was allegedly stuck in transit.
When he failed to return the cash, Triple S took legal action and the bill has risen to almost £2m.

Palace swoop for Antoine Semenyo
Crystal Palace are switching their striker search to Bristol City's Antoine Semenyo.
The Eagles are looking for an extra threat up front.
And the versatile Robins forward has moved on to the radar after Palace let Christian Benteke leave to join Wayne Rooney's DC United.
Ghana star Semenyo, 22, would cost about £12million and the club could take a gamble on him after successful swoops on the Championship for their young squad.
Palace have been linked with strikers around Europe but a domestic target would fit better into their plans.
They have their eyes on Chelsea, where any more new midfield signings would open the door for Conor Gallagher or Ruben Loftus-Cheek to move out. Gallagher, 22, starred for Palace on loan last season and they have yet to replace him.

Changing times at Forest

Having completely redesigned the squad for the challenge of a first season in the Premier League, Steve Cooper will need to look to bed the playersin.
Emmanuel Dennis and Cheikhou Kouyate are the latest additions to the Forest project, both bringing Premier League experience, which could be key.
Dennis scored 10 goals for Watford last season and will be hoping to hit the ground running with his new club.
The whispers from the City Ground is that the redesign of the squad may not be finished yet with Atalanta's Remo Freuler another player the club are looking at.

A round up of yesterday's transfers!
Nottingham Forest remained the most active team in the transfer window so far, as they bought in Emmanuel Dennis from Watford.
Fabrizio Romano also reported that Forest have agreed deals for Cheikhou Kouyate and Neal Maupay, who both have considerable Premier League experience.
Chelsea edged ever so slightly closer to a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and it is expected that they will lodge a bid in the coming days, but there is still no concrete news on Frenkie De Jong.
Manchester City's interest in Kieran Tierney was cooled, as they signed Sergio Gomez from Anderlecht to fill the left-back position.
And Manchester United moved closer to confirming a deal for Adrien Rabiot, as John Murtough met with the players mother to seal personal terms for the French midfielder.
Erik Ten Hag confirmed after the Manchester United defeat to Brentford, that the club needs new personnel, so expect to see some more Manchester United moves coming out of the woodwork.

Chelsea standing firm on exits
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has claimed that none of his stars warming the bench are for sale- although he admits it's not up to him if they stay at Stamford Bridge.
The 48-year-old German said: “In general, nobody is for sale. Nobody is for sale, and everybody is for sale.
“It depends on what the player wants, how bad the player wants it, what we think about who is ready to pay a certain amount of money and then maybe everybody is for sale.”

Gallagher Newcastle's number one target.
Newcastle have made Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher their prime target in the final weeks of the transfer window.
Toon bosses would also like to sign James Maddison from Leicester – but their hopes of landing the Foxes playmaker are understood to be slim.
So Newcastle will now step up their efforts to persuade Chelsea to sell their £40m-rated midfielder.
However, it won't be easy to tempt Gallagher away from Chelsea and from Thomas Tuchel, as the Chelsea boss remains a big fan of the industrious midfield maestro.
Earlier today an article was posted to Chelsea's website, which detailed some quotes from Thomas Tuchel about Conor Gallagher.
“Everything is in its right place. We are happy with him and he keeps on fighting, because this is what he does.
“I think he has everything to become a very important player over the next years at Chelsea.”

Emmanuel Dennis joins Forest…
Reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis has joined Nottingham Forest from Watford via his Twitter account.
"Official and confirmed. Emmanuel Dennis joins Nottingham Forest on permanent deal from Watford, four year deal. #NFFC Total fee will be around £20m."
Fabrizio earlier confirmed that Forest are also set to sign Neal Maupay from Brighton in this window, which has seen a complete squad overhaul.
Lingard, Johnson, Maupay and Dennis is a forward line that can cause damage in the Premier League, and Forest are certainly spending money like a team that want to stay in the league.
But spending big money does not guarentee safety in the Premier League, you can ask Fulham about that one…

Probably not…

“Chelsea are serious about Aubameyang,” the Italian transfer expert explained on his YouTube channel.
“The discussions are entering important stages.
“Todd Boehly is in direct contact with people who are close to the deal to prepare an opening proposal for the striker.
