UFC legend reveals he's beaten 'aggressive battle' with cancer as he shows off incredible body transformation | The Sun

UFC veteran Mike Swick has revealed he's cancer free following an "aggressive" battle with the disease.

The Ultimate Fighter season one star revealed his diagnosis with the disease – which he'd unknowingly been dealing with for seven months – last February.



Swick began chemotherapy the same month, which, in conjunction with fasting, left him weighing a mere 68kg (151lbs).

But the 43-year-old retired UFC star is now at a healthy 93kg (205) after a long and arduous battle with the deal.

Early on Thursday morning, he tweeted: "43 and cancer free!"

Swick revealing of his remission was greeted with messages of joy, with UFC welterweight Matt Brown tweeting: "Badass!

"Congrats bro!"

Another of Swick's followers said: "Congrats Mike, that's great news!"

Swick announced his retirement from mixed martial arts in July 2015 after a unanimous decision defeat to Alex Garcia at UFC 189.
