Unemployed Champions League hero back in Chelsea training after eight years in shock move | The Sun

RYAN BERTRAND is training with Chelsea’s loan development group, eight years after leaving the London club.

The 34-year-old is without a club after his contract expired with Leicester City this summer.

And according to Fabrizio Romano, Bertrand is now training with Chelsea’s loan development squad in the hopes of finding himself a new home.

He is said to be considering interest from England, Europe and the Middle East as he looks to take the next step in his career.

The full-back spent the last two years with Leicester, but only managed four appearances for the foxes in the Premier League after struggling with his fitness.

He picked up a nasty knee injury which saw him undergo surgery and spend over 500 days away from the pitch.
