Watch as Man Utd's new £85m transfer signing Antony curls home stunning debut goal vs Arsenal to send Old Trafford wild | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED new boy Antony got off to the perfect start by scoring against Arsenal on his debut.

The Brazilian curled past Aaron Ramsdale just before half time at Old Trafford to send the home crowd crazy.

Antony only arrived for £85million this week but was thrust straight into the starting 11 against Arsenal by Erik ten Hag.

And the winger – coached by Ten Hag at Ajax also – repaid the Dutchman in some style.

The goal was set up by Jadon Sancho coming in from the left, laying it off to Marcus Rashford, who played in Antony to score.

There were some questions on whether the forward would start straight away.

Fellow United newcomer Casemiro, signed for £70m from Real Madrid, was left on the bench.

Ten Hag said: “He knows the style we want to play and what we expect and demand.

"He can be an offensive threat in one on ones, his speed – that makes the choice to play him."

United started with Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes ahead of Scott McTominay, leaving no room for Casemiro.

Ten Hag added: “He is new in the team, he has to adapt to the team. He has to get used to my way of playing football.
