JUSTIN ROSE has a plan for The Open at St Andrews this weekend – THROW his ball out of the bunker.
The former world No1 used the tactic when failing to get out of the sand during a practice round at the famous old course.
Rose is getting his eye in ahead of Thursday's start to the 150th Open.
And the 41-year-old will be hoping his first round is considerably better than his practice effort today.
Rose found himself stuck in one of the course's wickedly deep bunkers, and shared the result of him trying to chip out of it to Twitter.
With his ball lying at a wicked angle, Rose could only send his shot directly into the bunker wall.

But instead of another difficult shot at trying to get out of the sand, Rose expertly caught his ball in mid-air and cheekily threw it out and onto the green.
The Johannesburg-born Brit hilariously captioned the footage: "If in doubt… chuck it out!!"
Rose tied for second in the 2018 edition of the world's oldest golf tournament and will be hoping to go one better this weekend.
Although in order to do so he might need to put in a bit more work with his sand wedge tomorrow before Thursday's start.
