Arsenal breezed past West Ham when they played host at the Emirates as goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, and Eddie Nkethiah all got on the scoresheet after Said Benrahma’s penalty initially put the Hammers in control.
They collapsed under a relentless Arsenal onslaught and there will be fears that the past could repeat itself today with David Moyes’ side shipping goals in their recent 1-5 defeat to Newcastle.
They can’t afford to gift Arsenal goals early on because if they do then it will be a long day for home fans in attendance.
Largely this is a match that Arsenal should win if form is anything to go by with the Gunners leading the charge at the top of the Premier League table and West Ham three points above the relegation zone on 30 points.
A win today would put the Hammers six points clear with at least one game in hand on those around them.
For Arsenal, victory would re-instate a six point lead over a chasing Manchester City. Mikel Arteta’s side have lived up to every challenge so far, can they do so again today?

This is a huge game at both ends of the table as the Gunners seek to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League and West Ham aim to distance themselves from the drop. Kick-off is at 2pm.
