West Ham stars visited one of London’s glitziest restaurants to enjoy an early Christmas party ahead of their trip to Serbia this week.

Players dressed up for the night as they were joined by WAGs and the club’s coaching staff as they visited the Sucre restaurant in Soho.

They were even joined by owner David Sullivan and vice-chairman Karren Brady who tagged along to enjoy the festivities.

The squad arrived at the Argentinian restaurant between 5 and 6pm on Monday night, but it’s believed they didn’t stay out too late, and instead left the venue at around 10.30pm.

That might be down to the fact that they are due to fly out to Serbia on Wednesday, as they face Backa Topola in the Europe League the following day.

West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady was also in attendance for the party which took place at the Sucre restaurant in Soho on Monday evening

Monday was the best chance they will get at staging their Christmas party, as from Thursday, they will play every three or four days up until their December 23 clash with Manchester United.

The players appeared to be in jovial spirits, with £35m summer signing Edson Alvarez and his partner Sofia Toache stopping to get a picture from the photographers who were outside to capture the squad’s arrival.

Danny Ings stopped to have a conversation with someone outside the venue, while midfielder Tomas Soucek was pictured arriving with his wife Natalie Dobrovodska, and Aaron Cresswell arrived with his wife of four years Jessica Unsworth.

Angelo Ogbonna and Lukasz Fabianski were among those also spotted arriving with their partners for their night out.

The party looked to be mostly a formal affair with the likes of Lukasz Fabianski, Cresswell and Konstantinos Mavropanos arriving in smart attire.

It appears as though there wasn’t a strict formal policy however, with West Ham captain Kurt Zouma and Johnson among those to dress more casually.

The Sucre restaurant and cocktail bar on its website says it brings a ‘conversation of Latin America and European influences’ into the venue which was formerly a concert hall.

The Hammers would certainly have had a lot to celebrate at the party, after what has been a successful year – despite finishing in the bottom half of the table last term.

Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski had a strong case for being one of the most sharpest-dressed at the party

They won their first European trophy since 1965, by beating Fiorentina to clinch the Europa Conference League back in June.

It marks a big change from Christmas parties of yester-year which didn’t even go ahead.

They didn’t go ahead during the coronavirus pandemic, but Moyes also decided to  cancel their Christmas party in 2017 as they battled relegation.

It has been a mixed start to the 2023-24 season, though they are not battling relegation like then and are comfortably in the top half with 20 points from 13 games.

The Hammers are currently in a strong place to qualify from their Europa League group, which they sit top of, albeit, level on points with Freiburg.

A draw on Thursday night would ensure that they would qualify for the play-offs at minimum, though they would prefer to finish top of their group to ensure their automatic progression to the round of 16.
