Alessia is a Manchester United and England football player.
She was born on February 8, 1999, in Maidstone, Kent, and has two older brothers called Luca and Giorgio.
Her family is of Italian descent and her grandfather moved to England from Sicily in the 1950s.
It was her grandfather who began being a fan of Manchester United and passed this on to the rest of the family.

Alessia attended the University of North Carolina where she graduated with a degree in sport and exercise science.
She began playing football when she was a child, joining Chelsea's development squad in 2010 and eventually going on to become captain.

Alessia began her club career with Chelsea and she played her first and only game for the senior team in 2016.
In January 2017 she joined Brighton & Hove Albion but in the autumn of that year she moved to the US for her studies.

There, she played for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
In 2020, Alessia returned to the UK and signed a two-year contract with Manchester United.
During her time there she made 59 appearances and scored 26 goals.
It was announced that Russo had signed for Arsenal in July 2023.
Speaking about her new team, the player said: "I want to win trophies – as does everyone at this club."
"I can't wait to get stuck in and grow as a player – it's a new challenge and a new environment," she added upon joining Arsenal.
How long has Alessia Russo played for England?
Russo has been a part of the under-15, under-17, under-19, under-20 and under-21 England teams.
She played for the senior national team for the first time in 2020.
In November 2021 she scored the fastest hat-trick by any Lioness player in history.
She scored the hat-trick in just 11 minutes during England's victory over Latvia at the 2023 World Cup qualifiers.
Alessia represented England at the 2022 Euros, which Sarina Wiegman's team won.
In May 2023 she was confirmed for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup squad.
