It took the full five sets for the 26-year-old to overcome Jaume Munar in the second round, eventually winning 6-4 3-6 5-7 6-0 6-2 after defeating Munar's Spanish compatriot Pablo Andujar in straight sets in the first round.
This will be the first meeting between Norrie and Johnson professionally.

Watson, the current British no 4, also has the chance to reach her first ever Grand Slam fourth round.
The world number 121, takes on Juvan, ranked at 62, having defeated Wang Qiang of China in straight sets in round two, following her 6-7, 7-5, 6-2 win over Tamara Korpatsch in the first round.
Watson, 30, and Juvan, 21, have met once before, when the Slovenian triumphed 6-1, 6-4 and the first round of last year's US Open.
