WWE star Kofi Kingston compared himself to Frankenstein’s monster as he revealed the gory scars from his surgery.
The former WWE world champion was heartbreakingly ruled out of next weekend’s WrestleMania 39 extravaganza after suffering the blow earlier this month.
The 41-year-old is a member of the much-loved New Day faction, who also have fellow member Big E sidelined after breaking his neck.
He and partner Xavier Woods were involved in a battle with Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, LA Knight and Karrion Kross as they all vied for an Intercontinental Title shot against Gunther at Mania.
However, despite it not being an actual match, Kingston was hurt when McIntyre dived over the top rope and landed awkwardly.
He suffered damage to his ankle, and it was later confirmed that he would have to undergo surgery.
