Yves Bissouma and Fraser Forster to be left in South Korea and will not fly back with Tottenham squad amid Covid battle | The Sun

YVES BISSOUMA and Fraser Forster will travel back separately from the rest of Tottenham’s touring party of South Korea following their positive Covid tests.

The pair of summer signings have been isolating in Spurs’ team hotel in Seoul since Tuesday after returning positive PCR tests, which are required within three days of entering the country.

Government guidelines require anyone who tests positive to isolate for seven days.

It saw them miss Wednesday’s 6-3 friendly win over Team K-League and also ruled them out of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Sevilla.

And it will also mean they cannot fly home with the rest of the squad on Sunday.

Instead they are due to return to the UK on Tuesday.

Bissouma and Forster were two of Tottenham’s earliest signings this summer, having both been brought in from South Coast Premier League clubs.

Mali midfielder Bissouma, 25, joined for around £30million from Brighton.

While England goalkeeper Forster, 34, arrived on a free transfer from Southampton.

They have been exercising in their rooms during their isolation period.

Spurs are flying home after rounding off their trip with a feisty draw against Sevilla in front of 43,998 at the Suwon World Cup Stadium.

Harry Kane's third goal on tour was cancelled out by Ivan Rakitic's superb leveller.

The main feature was Antonio Conte starting with Kane, home favourite Son Heung-Min and new signing Richarlison in attack.

But overall it was a patchy display from Tottenham, whose next pre-season clash is against Rangers at Ibrox next Saturday.
