A Place in the Sun presenter gives cheeky comment after guest calls her name

A Place in the Sun presenter was left frowning when the guest called her name after a house viewing.

Karen and Brian, from Northern Ireland, have a budget of £120,000 to look for a permanent home in the Málaga province in Spain, and they wanted a three-bedroom house to accommodate guests and family.

Channel 4 presenter Leah Charles-King offered her insight to find them a home surrounded by mountain villages and they had a very good start on property one, which offered a huge balcony space.

Onto the third one, Leah threw in a detached house with a separate "casita" for the couple to consider.

Despite it's priced within budget, Karen and Brian were disappointed at the size of the balcony.

Inside, Karen didn't like the small kitchen as she said: "I don't like this at all unfortunately, and I don't think there is any way extending it."

When they headed out to the terrace, Karen greeted and said: "Hi Leah."

Leah turned and paused: "Oh no. I don't like the way you just said my name, I'm going to be honest.

"Oh go on, sock it to me then."

Karen continued, explaining: "I think the idea of the property is brilliant, much more attractive than the reality of the property itself.

"The whole property is lacking flow to it, and I don't think there's an awful lot that we could do to rectify that situation."

And Husband Brian added: "Doesn't lend itself to modernisation or changing the layout."

Leah gave an honest feedback, saying: "Oh well, you win some, you lose some."

They asked to see a bungalow with roof terrace for their fourth property, which also included ample outdoor space.

At the end of the search, the house hunters fell in love with the first property and decided to put an offer in — £11,000 lower than the asking price.

The owner met them in the middle and they shook hands at £105,000.
