Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) was trying to work out what to do next after Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) told him about her affair with Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) in Coronation Street.
Sarah was forced to tell Adam the truth about her betrayal after her young son, Harry, saw her kissing Damon.
Initially, she attempted to make Harry keep it a secret, but that behaviour made Sarah realise that she couldn’t carry on and found the courage to tell her husband everything.
The aftermath of this ordeal has left Adam in a tricky place. On one hand, he really loves Sarah and when things are good, they have a stable marriage alongside two brilliant jobs. However, Sarah has also been in bed with another man, and it was this that left Adam questioning whether or not he wanted to try and repair things.

It’s important to mention that Sarah had some points to make herself about their marriage. She argued that things changed because Adam had been working all of the time and was never around.
Ultimately though, Sarah knew that she was the one completely in the wrong and did her best to tell Adam that they can work through this.
Sarah said that they can show Damon what a strong unit they are, and how he wouldn’t be a part of her life anymore.
Adam eventually agreed and that evening, the couple walked past Damon while on the cobbles.
The solicitor couldn’t resist a few stern words to his newfound enemy and said that he could be forced into a position that Damon might regret if he continues to wind him up.
The words from Adam weren’t enough to scare Damon though. This is Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) brother after all, and also someone who arrived in Weatherfield and began dealing drugs through the Bistro shortly after – an attempt at a threat by a solicitor did precisely nothing.
But has Damon underestimated Adam?
Damon still works on the cobbles so he isn’t going anywhere, but can Adam keep his emotions in check, or will he go through with that threat and get revenge?
