Strictly Come Dancing 2023 star Angela Scanlon is now the bookmakers’ favourite to win this year’s Glitterball Trophy, it has been revealed.
The 39-year-old’s odds have been slashed overnight ahead of the popular BBC show launching next month.
OLBG has revealed its latest odds and predictions for the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2023 – with Anglea, Bobby Brazier, and Layton Williams leading the way as early favourites.
Steve Madgwick, entertainment betting expert, said: “Angela has now moved into 3/1 favourite from 11/2 to win this year’s Strictly Come Dancing with the opening show of this series less than a month away!”
Angela, who hosts Ask Me Anything, has been opening up to her social media followers about her Strictly Come Dancing journey so far.

She’s yet to meet her professional partner but has been discussing using fake tan, trying not to be awkward on the dancefloor and her aim to impress her two young daughters.
She recently shared on Instagram: “The joy! Honestly, I’m so overwhelmed by how kind people have been already.
“I didn’t quite realise just how loved the show is so to be a little part of that feels amazing.”
She added: “[I want to] properly push myself out of my comfort zone, I’m so damn awkward and clumsy.”

The presenter also said she is hoping to dance as Princess Fiona from Shrek for her daughters, who must be fans of the children’s movie franchise.
While Angela admitted she doesn’t have experience in ballroom dancing, she does have a background in dance.
It was recently revealed she was a trained dancer in 2001 with the O’Shea Irish Dance Company which saw her perform all over the world.
The former Robot Wars host landed a role as a dancer in an American programme, the Daily Mail reports.
Angela performed in the Irish Thunder dance show at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Virginia.
When asked about taking on Latin and Ballroom dancing, Angela shared: “I’ve never done any of these dances in my life, bar a drunken jive at a family wedding. So, it certainly feels like there is room to learn and to really push myself.”
“Look, I’m not particularly fit,” she stressed. “I’ve no idea how my pelvic floor is going to react to that level of jumping!”
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One next month and will be hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
