As Saturday Night Takeaway got underway once again this week, viewers at home were left complaining mere moments into the show, as they struggled to understand what this week’s guest announcer was saying.
The popular ITV entertainment show kicked off with guest announcer Big Zuu, who promptly introduced fans at home to iconic Geordie duo Ant and Dec.
However not everyone was keen on his unique voice, with many even questioning who the star was in the first place.
Zuhair Hussan, best known to the world as Big Zuu, is a British rapper, grime MC, songwriter and DJ, and may also be familiar to viewers for fronting his own TV show Big Zuu's Big Eats on Dave.
Taking to social media to express their thoughts, many viewers didn’t hold back as they tweeted out their confusion.
One fan kicked things off by writing: " 'For one night only your star guest announcer, brznnoo…’ " Nope can’t understand you and no idea who you are.”
Another then tweeted: "Last week, the guest announcer was #davidtennant, this week we have erm….. big zoo. Lol. Who the f***k is Big Zoo?”
Before a third echoed the sentiment adding: "Big zou? Never heard of him either.”
And a fourth commented; “Big Zuu is the biggest guest they could get is he?”
Despite the initial criticism however, the show soon got underway with the usual excitement and mayhem taking root as a hame of Ring My Doorbell began with the studio audience.
During the popular segment, the show crosses live to a Ring Doorbell and people who live on the street are asked to rush over to their neighbours front door with items such as a saucepan and duvet.
While viewers at home loved the segment however, it did lead Ant & Dec to apologise to viewers at home, as the constant doorbell sounds were shown to be driving plenty of pet pooches crazy!
Introducing the segment, Dec said: "We've been to Binfield and now we're going to go out and about around the rest of the country!”
"So get the ear muffs on the dog because it's time for the return of Ring My Bell.”
At the same time, the official Saturday Night Takeaway social media accounts posted: “We would like to apologise in advance to all the doggos across the country who don't like this part of the episode #SaturdayNightTakeaway.”
This week’s show is the second in the brand new series, and follows on from last week’s chaos, which saw David Tennant acting as the guest announcer and guest Jordan North hilariously crash a golf-buggy into the set.
"Just to let you know, it took me seven times to pass my driving test!” The star cheekily revealed, before disaster struck as he accidentally put his foot down and didn’t break quickly enough to stop him from driving straight into the stage.
