BBC Breakfast’s Charlie Stayt admits ‘I don’t like it’ as guest invades studio

The Daleks have taken over on the 60th anniversary of Dr Who

BBC Breakfast’s Charlie Stayt was in for a scare as Doctor Who’s infamous Daleks made an unexpected appearance on the show.

On Thursday’s instalment of the BBC programme, Charlie and co-host Naga Munchetty were touching on the BBC show celebrating its 60th birthday.

Throughout the episode, fans were taken on a trip down memory lane in preparation for the upcoming specials of the sci-fi hit.

However, before the regional news began, the two hosts nearly found themselves “exterminated”.

Bursting into the studio demanding to know where the Time Lord was, the Dalek said: “You will join us as we mark 60 years of Doctor Who, do not miss it. You will obey!”

As the segment cut to the regional news presenter Anjana Gadgil, commented: “Hello, well that was unusual!”

However, that wasn’t the only time the extraterrestrial beings were in the studio as they later appeared, putting Charlie on edge.

He said: “Things have taken a bit of a turn in the studio and I’ll be honest with you, from where we are the Dalek is there.

“I don’t like it when it points at me like that like it’s doing right now. I don’t like it.”
