BBC EastEnders' Stacey Slater pushed to breaking point as she STILL can't pay her bills | The Sun

STACEY Slater's money struggles get worse as the bailiffs call round and clear out her home.

The mum of four (played by Lacey Turner) has been feeling the impact of the cost of living crisis in her current storyline on the BBC soap.

Viewers know that Stacey has resorted to desperate measures to keep her family afloat by selling risqué photos of herself in her underwear on a website called Secret Cam.

However, Stacey is still strapped for cash even with the additional stream of income.

Upcoming scenes will see Stacey face yet another blow as the bailiffs pay her a visit and completely clear out her home.

Martin Fowler (James Bye) offers Stacey some support, but she insists she’s able to deal with the situation.

Meanwhile, Stacey is left seriously distracted when she gets an offer from someone on Secret Cam.

Stacey asks if Eve (Heather Peace) can watch the bap van for her as she disappears home.

But, when Eve returns home, she is shocked to find Stacey all dolled up and confronts her on what’s going on.

The stress keeps on coming for the Slaters as we learn a pregnant Lily (Lillia Turner) is bullying another girl at school.

Filming last scenes on EastEnders had us all in tears, says Danielle Harold

Stacey and Martin soon find out that her behaviour is a result of being bullied herself.

Martin decides to take Stacey for a picnic where they share a heart-to-heart.

Will the former couple rekindle their romance?

Martin Fowler actor James Bye told the Metro: “We have these conversations quite a lot with the story team and Chris Clenshaw, our Executive Producer.

“Where they are right now is a really fun place for Lacey and me. With all the history that they’ve got, they are definitely closer right now than when they were in a romantic relationship.

"But it’s always going to be bubbling under, and the fans seem to want Martin and Stacey to get back together, and I’m not saying they won’t, but I quite like the fact that we don’t know if that will happen.”

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One from 7:30pm.
