BBC presenter forced to apologise after rude 'slip of the tongue' live on air | The Sun

A BBC presenter was forced to apologise after he made a very rude slip up live on air.

Radio personality Chris Arnold took to the airwaves as he sat in for Mel Everett on BBC Radio Somerset.


However the unlikely broadcaster made a huge gaff right at the beginning of the publicly funded show.

Greeting his listeners he said: "Hello, good evening, Chris Arnold with you here until 10pm. Hope you’ve have a good day."

Although the show got to a good start, things took a drastic turn as he continued: "Lots of come… lots to come tonight."

He then took a brief pause to compose himself as he added: "Right, okay."

Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – he posted a clip of the sow wrote: "I can only apologise profusely to the listeners for this deeply unfortunate slip of the tongue on the show this evening."

And listeners and fans took to social media in their droves as they were left howling by the unfortunate incident.

Fellow radio personality Greg James commented: "Tbf it is always exciting to be on air."

Another listener noted: "Styled it out well."

As another exclaimed: "Haha, brilliant!"
