Strictly Come Dancing fans reckon Giovanni Pernice might be eyeing up a new role on the show, after his performance on Saturday night, 3 December.
The Italian dancer hasn't been competing in the 2023 series of the BBC One dance contest for weeks, having had to pull out of the competition with celebrity dance partner Amanda Abbington.
The actress initially withdrew from one of the live shows due to 'medical reasons' before it was announced she would be leaving the show altogether due to 'personal reasons'.
Despite this, Giovanni has still been seen week after week supporting his fellow professional dancers and their celebrity partners, as well as appearing in the pre-recorded group numbers.
To celebrate Musicals week on Saturday night, which was also the quarter-finals, the talented group of pro dancers performed an epic version of A Chorus Line. In homage to the Broadway and West End musical, the dancers were seen auditioning for a Broadway show.
This saw Giovanni acting as a tough choreographer before Karen Hauer took the lead as the wannabe star, before the sparkly top hats appeared for a Bob Fosse-style segment to round off the mash-up.
Fans then suggested Giovanni could have been putting himself forward for a role on the judging panel. One person asked on Twitter: "Giovanni to replace Anton as judge when? #Strictly."
Another posted: "If Giovanni Pernice became Strictly judge then what? #strictly." A third joked: "Giovanni can shout at me like that any time #Strictly."
The three couples now in the running for first place are EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and his partner Dianne Buswell, Bad Education actor Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, and Coronation Street's Ellie Leach and her pro partner Vito Coppola.
All three celebs have impressed the judges and won the hearts of the nation during their stints on the reality show, so as of now, the competition is tight and it's hard to predict who'll go all the way.
