Strictly: Angela Rippon on her slip during dance
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Angela Rippon has shared her thoughts about being in the bottom two for the second week in a row.
Last Sunday, fans of the BBC dance show watched as the 79-year-old fought for her place in the competition against Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
In the end, three out of the four judges decided to save Angela, despite her having a slight slip during her dance-off performance.
With Krishnan becoming the seventh person to be eliminated from the show, both Angela and her pro partner Kai Widdrington survived another week and have made it through to Blackpool Week.
On Tuesday’s instalment of Strictly’s spin-off show It Takes Two, the contestant spoke about how she felt dancing to stay in the show.

Host Fluer East asked: “Angela, it was your second week in the dance-off, it could’ve all ended very differently if it wasn’t for the supporting leg that you saved. Did you think it was all over?”
She replied: “No I didn’t. I mean I don’t know why, I think the floor was slippery or my shoe was slippery and it just went, but no I didn’t.
“I mean Kai, sort of still had hold of me and I just knew what I had to do next and managed to do it.”

While speaking to Fleur, viewers learnt what routine and song Angela and Kai would be dancing to this Saturday.
The duo will be tackling an American Smooth to Ella Fitzgerald’s version of the song Tea for Two.
However, it wasn’t long before viewers voiced their thoughts on the choice along with Angela’s remarks about being in the dance-off.
@citzgirl said: “#Strictly Angela Rippin still being a tad arrogant that she didn’t think her stumble would affect the result. We all knew that too.”
@CaterinaAmato8 commented: “@strictly #Strictly I used to like Angela Ripon but now that she’s been on Strictly she’s become totally insufferable the way she goes on about how fantastic she is, she did not deserve to go to Blackpool.”
@MJ_JJ061215 added: “Yet another slow dance for Angela R this week…American Smooth. How come she’s avoided all the fast Latin dances?? Oh well, she’s got to Blackpool as planned…so hopefully she’ll go out this week.”
@maxbanner17 tweeted: “#StrictlyComeDancing beyond rigged to get Angela Rippon to Blackpool. Blindingly obviously – overmarked week on week [sic] #Strictly”
However,@RyanTheSoapking said: “Angela & Kai finally getting some lifts at the weekend [sic] .Although I think she could be going home in Blackpool I still think this could be a good dance. Love a good traditional American Smooth this should be great.”
With @CheryBarnes commenting: “Looking forward to watching you and Kia at Blackpool. Good luck!”
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 6.40pm.
