Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice has been finding comfort in spending quality time with former show partner Rose Ayling-Ellis after his shock exit from the 2023 series.
Pro dancer Giovanni was partnered with Amanda Abbington this year, who left the competition on 23 October saying in a statement that she was "unable to continue".
There have been rumours that the pair clashed over training schedules during her time on the show, and now Giovanni has turned to former EastEnders star Rose, who he won the 2021 contest with and remains close to.
Sharing moments from their night out together on his Instagram stories, Giovanni showed Rose sitting in the Royal Opera House's restaurant with a glass of prosecco.
In the video, he told her: "I tell you what you should do. You should drink that."
When Rose asked why, he told her: "Because you got smelly breath," adding that she had been eating onion soup.
Rose called over to a waiter who brought her a bowl of olives and said: "That's peppermint. No onion soup anymore, it's now olive breath."
Sicilian dancer Giovanni also shared a photo of himself and Rose with some of the dancers they had watched at London's Royal Opera House, and added a funny clip from after the show.
He shared Rose attempting to strike a ballet pose back at home before stumbling towards him and captioned it: "She got inspired apparently…"
Rose and Giovanni's partnership was a huge hit with Strictly viewers and the pro dancer has continued to learn British Sign Language after working with Rose, who was the show's first ever deaf contestant.
Giovanni was not mentioned in Amanda's statement, which she released after it was confirmed that she had quit the show.
She said: "It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons, I am unable to continue. It was an absolute joy working with my fellow contestants, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and who I will miss seeing every Friday and Saturday and competing alongside.
"I want to thank the incredible Production team and everyone on Strictly who looked after me and who are so kind and caring. It's a wonderful bunch of people and I'll miss all of them.
"I'm so sad that I am unable to go any further. Thank you to everyone who voted and who sent wonderful messages and inspiring support. You are all amazing. Truly. Thank you."
Strictly fans quickly noticed that Giovanni had not been mentioned, and although neither star has spoken about their rumoured fall-out, sources claim that Giovanni had not known she was going to quit.
