Bravo’s hit yachting reality series Below Deck Mediterranean fans celebrated the return of Courtney Veale who joined mid-season after her exit in season six. The deckhand opened up about her experiences and the difficulties she faced getting to know her fellow yachties.
The season seven episode titled Break-Ups and Shake-Ups saw the departure of Raygan Tyler, who was fired for her lack of work ethic.
As a result, fans saw the return of Courtney Veale, who was enlisted by Captain Sandy Yawn with a promotion to Deckhand.
During season six, Courtney quickly became a huge fan-favourite for her bubbly personality and hilarious commentary.
Despite joining the yacht late, she quickly became acquainted with the crew and hit it off with everyone except Deckhand Jason Gaskell.
As the instalment nears its season finale, Courtney reflected on her experience and shared her first impression of her fellow crew members.
As viewers were also quick to notice the two Deckhands were clashing, she opened up about her their interactions.
Courtney detailed: “I never usually clash with people. When I first met Jason, I thought he seemed nice.
“There were no bad vibes even though a friendship chemistry wasn’t there.”
She admitted: “I was actually a bit nervous because he’s a bit older and had been a captain on smaller boats before.
“I find it quite hard to interact with Jason, but we all have very different personalities and different ways of doing things.”
Although the two didn’t form a friendship, viewers noted an awkward moment between the pair during episode seven.
Courtney called him out for not laughing at her joke and called him a “tough crowd”.

Then later, Jason attempted to crack a joke among the yachties, however, nobody laughed.
As a result, he later opened up about feeling out of place among the crew and admitted he struggled to try to fit in.
While Jason kept mostly to himself and stayed away from the drama, many fans labelled him boring and took to social media to criticise his work ethic.
After episode seven, @FredUp05418174 tweeted: “Jason just looks BORED. And maybe a bit boring.”
However, this soon changed when he became the target of backlash for swearing at Storm Smith who was his superior as Bosun.
He told her to “f**k off,” which also took his fellow crew members by surprise as Courtney and Mzi ‘Zee’ Dempers looked on in shock.
Upon returning to sea in season seven, Courtney reunited with Zee, who she had a fling with during season six.
However, she told Decider, nothing would come from their brief romance: “I don’t think I would ever get into another boatmance personally.”
