Bob Odenkirk said an emotional goodbye to his beloved character as Better Call Saul premiered its final episode on Monday.
The 59-year-old actor, who plays sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman, thanked Breaking Bad fans for giving the crime prequel a ‘chance.’
During Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Bob told host Al Franken: ‘I always felt the fans, your family, and all the many people gave us a chance to create our own little world there with Saul and that was really a lot.
‘Because we came out of Breaking Bad, which for many people was their favourite show.
‘And so I thought they would just hate us for trying at all. And it wasn’t the case. People gave us a chance and wanted us to succeed and I looked too old and they didn’t care.’
The legal drama followed the life of ‘criminal lawyer’ Saul Goodman (Bob) before becoming Walt (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse’s (Aaron Paul) representative.
Better Call Saul is available to stream on Netflix now
