With Big Brother due to return to our screens in just two days time, fans have been left on tenterhooks as they await the highly anticipated return of one of the biggest shows in reality TV history.
But ahead of the show’s return on Sunday 8 October, ITV have revealed a firsthand look at the iconic diary room chair that a new generation of contestants will be pouring their hearts out on.
As fans of the show will no doubt remember, the diary room has often been at the very heart of everything that takes place in Big Brother, with the room providing a safe space away from their fellow housemates to speak to Big Brother itself.
With no topic off limits, the diary room will play host to many explosive discussions, including the latest antics gripping the house and casting nominations on their fellow housemates.
As part of the reboot, a new chair has been unveiled for the diary room, which features a stunning orange and yellow design, flanked by plenty of neon, all themed around the show’s legendary logo, the Big Brother eye.
The new look is certainly bolder than some viewers may remember from the show’s time on Channel 4 and Channel 5, but as part of the ITV reboot great care and attention to detail has been utilised to help give the new series its own identity.
This includes debuting a far more eco-conscious outlook, as evidenced by the new chair which is made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester!
Alongside the show’s long awaited return, Big Brother will be followed each night by Big Brother: Late & Live – an exciting new commission hosted live by AJ Odudu and Will Best from the site of the Big Brother house in front of a studio audience.
As well as interacting with fans first hand, the show will also be the only place to watch the evictees first live interviews after being eliminated from the competition, while also being the home to plenty of exclusive content and previously unseen footage that hadn’t made it into the main broadcast.
The iconic Big Brother: Live Stream also makes its return to screens, airing seven nights a week exclusively on ITVX, giving fans the opportunity to watch live footage into the small hours after Big Brother: Late & Live.
With 48 hours left to go until Big Brother: The Launch officially kicks off this Sunday, fans can rest assured ITV will be pulling out all the stops with its multi-channel takeover, which will see Big Brother make itself known on ITV1, STV, ITV2 and ITVX.
Following the initial launch show, the series will then air nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX every night except Sundays.
Tune in to Big Brother: The Launch this Sunday 8 October at 9pm on ITV
