Apple Tv+: Suspicion official trailer
The Big Bang Theory alum Kunal Nayyar has suffered a blow after his latest drama Suspicion has been axed by Apple TV+ after just one season.
The show was originally announced in March 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic eventually launching in February 2022.
It has now been reported by Deadline that it was quietly cancelled around a year ago.
English-born Kunal, 42 is best known for playing Raj Koothrappali on the worldwide smash hit CBS sitcom for 12 years alongside Kaley Cuoco as Penny and Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper.
Suspicion saw him play a very different character from the shy and geeky Raj who got tongue-tied around girls and loved sci-fi.

He played Aadesh Patel an ordinary man from London who works in a carpet shop.
However, his life was turned upside down when a brief trip to New York City saw him accused of being involved in a kidnap plot along with three other British citizens.
The show was a remake of the massively successful Israeli drama series False Flag, and produced by the UK-based arm of the Israeli broadcaster, producer and distributor behind the original.
Ironically the original show has enjoyed a three-season run so far although a fourth has yet to be announced.

The cast list for the show was extremely impressive and alongside Kunal it boasted Uma Thurman, It’s a Sin star Lydia West, Game of Thrones’ Elyes Gabel, Black Mirror star Georgina Campbell, Agents of SHIELD’s Elizabeth Henstridge and Doctor Who star Mandeep Gill.
Kunal has previously said that he was instantly drawn to the project when director Chris Long brought it to him in an interview with Digital Spy.
“When Chris Long, who directed and showran, brought this to me as a potential for me to be in this, I watched False Flag then and I instantly loved it,” he said.
“And I really, really have been a big fan of Chris Long because he did The Americans for FX, which I was a big fan of, so it all came to sort of fruition that way.”
