Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is offered an interesting business opportunity in upcoming Emmerdale episodes – but it may not be all it seems.
Someone called Corey turns up at the garage and he has a proposition for Cain, offering him a business deal. It seems like a much-needed piece of good news, as the Dingles have struggled to get back on an even keel financially since the losses they had when Caleb (William Ash) sabotaged their meat business as part of his plan to get revenge on Kim Tate (Claire King).
Although Corey is a stranger to Cain, when Nate (Jurell Carter) arrives he’s surprised and happy to recognise him as someone he used to go to school with. The two old friends go for a pint together, but Nate is embarrassed when Charity (Emma Atkins) asks if he still wants Eve’s hand-me-downs for his daughter Frankie. Compared to the obviously successful Corey, Nate feels like a failure.

Nate annoys Cain by refusing extra work, and he seems to be hiding something. He goes to Corey and nervously asks him for a job, but he’s disappointed when Corey says there’s no work available.
Needing help at the garage with the new cars that have come from the deal with Corey, Cain enlists Mack (Lawrence Robb)’s help. Nate is angry when he sees this, and goes back to Corey, asking him again if there’s any work.
And that’s when he spots someone he did not expect to see – Caleb. He’s the one who’s behind Corey’s deal with Cain, acting as a silent investor to put work Cain’s way.
Knowing that Cain’s pride will mean he’ll reject what he sees as Caleb’s charity, Caleb knows he has to stop Nate telling Cain what’s going and he buys his silence. It’s not enough for Nate, though.
He demands that Caleb offers him a job at the car firm, otherwise he’ll tell Cain everything.
Will Caleb agree to his demands?
