This year's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins has already brought its fair share of gruelling tasks and interrogations in the jungle, withchief instructor Mark 'Billy' Billingham now teasing about a "shock" final.
Some of this year's recruits taking on the notoriously difficult SAS Selection process include former Health Secretary Matt Hancock, singer Gareth Gates, TV personality, Danielle Lloyd and TOWIE star James 'Arg' Argent. As we remain hooked to our screens to see who makes it all the way, chief instructor, Billy, 57 spoke exclusively to OK!and said we can expect to see "a lot of shockers".
Asking who surprised him from this year's celebrity recruits, Billy revealed: "I won't say who it is, but it's a great finish to the show and I'm so pleased for that person.
"You see people just talking themselves out of it and at some stage among this little journey of 12 days, they turn on that light bulb and they totally spin it round.
"They started believing in themselves and you see a couple of examples of that on this one, and I'm so glad that happened."
Billy went on to share that it's great for viewers to see as they watch the recruits and their journey through the process and might think 'I never expected that person to get to the end'.
He added: "You see a lot of that, there's a lot of shockers in the lockers let's say."
While he couldn't give any names away, Billy added: "I would just say, everybody has a journey and every journey is interesting.
"I know everybody wants to see Matt Hancock crying and crawling or whatever, I'll just say keep watching it".
Touching on the former Health Secretary's time on the show, the chief instructor said: "When we do the interrogations it becomes more apparent of his past and we try to leave no stone unturned.
"We didn't let him get away with anything, he's come on this show to find out what sort of person is beneath the surface and that's why we run it as we do.
"He gets his fair share of punishment and if he deserves it, he gets more and I'll leave it at that."
Billy, who served on the frontline of the British Army for over 27 years, 17 of which were spent in the SAS added that the instructors have no idea who will be in their selection process and "treat everyone the same". He exclusively revealed: "We have no idea about their backstory because we're not allowed to, we have nothing to do with the production and involvement.
"So the first time we know who is on the show is when we pull the bag off their head and when they're stood in front of us."
Billy added: "To be honest, many or most celebrities we don't know anyway, so it doesn't make a massive difference." Before sharing that they might hear a "little rumour" about someone coming on the show but other than that they have no idea.
He added: "There's no script, no rehearsals, no retakes and it just runs.
"We don't know what the narrative is going to be or how people are going to react, we only see what's in front of us.
"The only big thing difference is that it's filmed 24 hours a day."
The SAS: Who Dares Wins star has recently embarked on his new 'Always A Little Further' tour to share his remarkable and inspirational story. The tour started on 2 October and will run until 30 November, with tickets still available at numerous locations.
Talking about his tour so far, Billy said: "I’m looking forward to sharing my stories with the audience and offering an insight into my action filled life as a Special Forces operator as well as my exciting career on and off camera. I’m also looking forward to meeting fans and taking audience questions on the night!" You can find tickets for Billy's tour here which also includes a Q&A session.
