Channel 4 have devised a show to rival Love Island – but their format will come with a very important twist, according to reports.
While the hit ITV2 programme encourages contestants to couple up with one person, this new dating show will reportedly allow people to date more than one person at a time.
The new programme comes after Una Healy and David Haye’s throuple romance – which is thought to have recently come to an end.
The less conventional style of relationship appears to have risen in popularity in recent years, with a 2018 study of 2,000 UK residents finding that 19% of respondents labelling themselves a polyamorous.
As per TV insiders, Channel 4’s new show is titled Finding The Ones and is allegedly due to start filming next month.
"Whereas Love Island is all about coupling up to win, this show will actively encourage contestants to have more than one partner," they told The Sun.
"Like Love Island, the show will see people placed inside a plush pad for their romantic and sexual antics."
Channel 4 declined to comment when contacted by OK!.
E4 is apparently on the hunt for people to take part in “a groundbreaking experiment”.
An ad reportedly asks: “Are you single and ready for a new adventure? Are you willing to date more than one person at a time?”
While Una appeared to proudly showcased her romance with boxing champ David and his girlfriend Sian Osbourne, she is now said to regret going public with her throuple.
“David and Sian have already found another woman and she does regret going public at first,” a source told OK! earlier this month.
"But Una left at the right time and she’s got a new music career on the horizon. She didn’t want to be tarnished by it."
They added that the former The Saturdays star “doesn’t want anything to do with them now”.
“David is on some other path himself, he’s enjoying life at the moment. It’s all about his ego and lavish lifestyle,” our source continued.
Our insider’s comments come after mum-of-two Una, who was previously wed to rugby player and X Factor star Ben Foden, confirmed in March that she was single.
"I am single and raising my two children, just like many other single parents – both men and women – doing a great job," she told the Irish Mirror.
