The film, which is set to air later this year, was announced at the broadcaster’s 2023 content showcase event on Tuesday (April 18).
Channel 4’s Chief Content Officers Ian Katz said: "Of course it wouldn’t be a proper Channel 4 launch without a taboo-busting film about sex.
"So I’m delighted to announce we’ll be airing Secrets of the Female Orgasm. A sensitive film exploring why one in eight women can’t climax.
"It’s presented by biochemist and former Love Island contestant Yewande Biala, who is one of those in one in eight and sets out to find out everything she can about the female orgasm to in a bid to experience one herself."
He continued: "Channel 4 is occasionally well quite often accused of being overly interested in sex but I believe we play a unique role in the broadcast environment thoughtfully tacking issues that preoccupy so many of our viewers, particularly our younger viewers, which most broadcasters or streamers are too squeamish to explore.
"Secrets of the Female Orgasm is as important a piece of educational piece of broadcasting you’ll see on any channel this year."
