Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) finally got married in Thursday’s (April 20) edition of Emmerdale but, in true soap style, it didn’t exactly go smoothly.
This is partly because the bride and groom were in cells the morning of the big day after PC Swirling noticed their replica van from The A-Team was involved in a robbery.
Fortunately, Charity and Mack were released, which just left Swirling and Moira (Natalie J Robb) to get them to the church to see Charles (Kevin Mathurin) – who was also set to organise a funeral on the same day – talk about a bad sign.
Meanwhile, in the hospital, Chloe (Jessie Elland) had gone into labour and was being supported by Matty (Ash Palmisciano) and Sarah (Katie Hill) as she gave birth to Reuben – Mack’s son.
As the party got underway in the pub, Charity decided to raise a toast to Chloe and her new baby, and all Mack could do was join in, fear in his eyes that his happiness with Charity isn’t going to last much longer.
Towards the end of the episode, Chloe made a comment about it just being her and Reuben from now on – does this mean she doesn’t intend for Mack’s secret to be revealed?
We know the truth will be exposed eventually but we’re left wondering when it’ll happen, and who will be responsible for telling Charity everything?
