Cheryl speaks on the loss of Sarah Harding
Cheryl struggled to hold back the tears when speaking about her former bandmate and friend Sarah Harding on The One Show.
Cheryl appeared on the sofa alongside her bandmates, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh.
The popstars, who are due to go on tour again, discussed what it feels like to perform without Sarah joining them.
Sarah died in September 2021 after battling advanced breast cancer.
However, as Cheryl began to chat about Sarah, she got upset and Nadine stepped in to comfort her.

When asked how the reunion tour will be without Sarah, Kimberley explained: “I feel like we’ve had loads of conversations coming up to our 20-year anniversary and obviously, those conversations involved Sarah.
“So sadly after she passed away, that just kind of went out the window. We focused on other things and then I think it was probably over the summer, we spent loads of time together.
“There was just a kind of shift and I suppose we’d felt such an outpouring of love towards the group and for Sarah, and suddenly it just felt like, do you know what maybe we are ready…like maybe we need to celebrate those 21 years and also celebrate her because we wanted to do that so much, and we just we sadly didn’t get the time.”
“She wanted to do that so much as well,” Cheryl chipped in. “So we get to do it with her spirit and we’re gonna honour her the best way we possibly can… make it magical.”
