His daughter Chloe, 36, admits it’s harder than seeing him on This Morning years ago.

She said: “When I watch dad on Good Morning Britain, I’m a bit more nervous because it is a bit more political. It is much more hard-hitting and my dad is my dad.
“He doesn’t have much of a filter and I’m always worried like, ‘Oh God, what is he going to say?’
“He says what he thinks. He says what comes into his head. So it makes sense that people make fun of him.”
Richard, 67, who is married to long-time co-star Judy, 75, often divides opinion on social media with his views.
Chloe thinks it’s great that he gets people talking, but says he deserves more credit for his work.
She said: “He’s a journalist by trade, he’s so much more capable than I think people thought he was when he was doing This Morning.
“But he is the most informed man I’ve ever met. He’s so intelligent, he’s so professional, he is a journalist by trade and there are definitely times when I think fans are a little disrespectful, especially when I think about what he’s done for the landscape of television.
“But it’s also a part of being in the public eye so suck it up buttercup, you’ve got to get a thick skin and it ain’t ever going to stop.”
